thanks for that pmc. ive posted a look up in the kellys to. theres one for 1933 and one for a few years before 1929. i may have some luck there. wales.ps the pub is still there. my dad who was born there and my brother play dominos against them. who would have thought that nearly 80 years on dad would be doing that. wales

Heres a snap of The Globe a few years back, its not a very good one I'm afraid. There is also a couple of other pubs in Wheeler St that you wanted. I'm sure your dad will recognise them.

once again thank you for the photos phil. i am certain dad will remember them. i know there was a pub on every corner of summer lane but i am sure there must have been a pub on the corner of every street and road in birmingham years ago. such a shame so many have gone. wales:)
