I was having a coffee in Touchwood today and I overheard ( on purpose) this conversation between two girls.
Did ya goo to Sharuns weddin  then.
Yeah
Wuz it any gud
Sore ight
Did Sharun look noice
Well, me Mom allwez sed If ya carnt say sumfink nice about sumbody then don't say nuffink.

This tale of Postie's reminds me of a winter wedding I went to, the brides mother wore a long tweed skirt and jacket, long leather boots and to top it all wore a hat similar to Robin Hoods with a very long feather sticking up on one side. Later at the reception I overheard one guest (female) say to another did you see ...... outfit, I thought well here comes Dick Whittington but where's the cat. It tickled me to bits as it was so apt.
 
It's one thing we Brummies do is speak as we find ;D

Those stories made me laugh - sometimes it's better we say nothing? :)
