hi pub crawlers
does any-body have any memories of the erdington arms
which you to be at the junction of slade rd which now is part of the
Spaghetti juntion [ nick named the muckman ] this would have been 1953,
i do beleive it changed the name prior to the redelvelopment to form the gravelly inter change it was called the ship at one time now i beleive its some -think else ,[ that i dont know ] i know it was a busy pub anda good darts and domino team way back then ,have you got any memories or would you rather for get them ; life was alot slower then compared to todays rat race ' i hope you will pardon my expression ,

Is this the place Astonian? It had gone before I knew the area. The Armada is approximately in the same place, on the enlarged junction - went in once, that was enough.

yes thats the very spot where it was before they built the spaghetti junction
and i beleive it had two name changes since then mrs t is correct on it once being the amarda it was ful of alsorts of cliental and druggies i would never go back again myself
am i right in saying that its called some-think else now as i do not come that way very often from worcestershire . best wishes astonian ;;;;;;

I used to pick up a chap from the Erdington Arms in 1967 when i had a brief spell as a taxi (private hire) driver. We used to get the phone call about 1am, after the lock in finished, most nights. All i can remember is that he could hardly stand and the strong smell of sour milk (rum) that always accompanied him. Good tipper though.
