The Elbow Room closed in May 2012 after shots had been fired outside the venue on 28th April. CCTV footage showed a man taking aim at a victim. Club owner at the time Colin Rogan said he was forced to close after this incident at trouble re-licensing wrangle.

I didn't know there had been an Elbow Room club in London and wondered whereabouts it was, I just had a quick look but can't see anything.

This is the record by The Habits referred to, produced by Spencer Davis and Steve Winwood, can hear Steve on backing vocals.
 
Thanks ! The Elbow Room was a pub in Notting Hill. It was at 103 Westbourne Grove. Must have had live music. Amazing, I worked in Chepstow Place for a while around the corner, but never heard of the place!
