1st 2 cars I had were Renaults and as they say enough was enough.
1st a 12 no real problems and rue day I swopped for a more modern looking 11...it was absolute pants......had to change most things on it and had about 4 starter motors......the one real bugbear was the distributer and the cap filled up with moisture/water........found out after I got rid that it was a well known thing BUT the main dealers still acted dumb and tried charging me multiple times saying it was this that and the other.I refused to pay in the end when they stripped the carbureter. They said I couldnt have keys until I paid so I told them I was sitting there all week and would get police on them for robbing me.......in the end they let me out and paid me for a full tank of fuel instead of refunding the bill. I managed to find out the distributer trouble my self and had to leave a screwdriver in bonnet for quick removal of cap....only thing was the screws/bolts kept wearing out.Went to dealers again for spare screws and they tried to charge me for full distributer as they said could split screw from kit...ha ha.. went to hardware shop and got a bag of them for about 10 bob......
