I remember going past that pub as a child on the bus! Cant remember going in it, but bet my mom has, lol:D

A fantastic building to look at and it's so big as well, according to the article they never let out rooms upstairs either so it was never a proper hostelry so what did they do with all those rooms upstairs?.
A mile back along the Bristol Rd towards Longbridge is another grade 2 listed pub, originally called the George V when I lived around there, then became an Asian restaurant, then fell into disrepair, now I see there is currently an application to turn it into apartments :eek:

Certainly before the photo on post 47 in 1950. In fact the present pub looks very similar to the one built in 1929. These photos do not seem the same
