Tea Wagon in Town

zak14

master brummie
Does anyone remember thr Tea Wagon in Town, it was at the top of old Snow Hill Car Park opposite a picture house which has long gone and is now the big Insurance building.

Used to go there with my girlfriend when the Pub's threw out for a chicken and mushroom pie !

Used to be a lot of Bikers there and we would stay till 2 or 3 in the morning, had some good times.

I remember the counter being high, or was that me being small:rolleyes:

Zak If you do a search on the forum (Top right) you will find a lot of members remember the Tea Waggon at Snow Hill...
Alf you beat me to it...
I was just looking for that link went to post and found you had already found it LOL:)

The search box is useful, but wouldn't it be boring on here if we used it all the time. there would be no posts:rolleyes:

Frothy mate I've sent you an IM explaining why it's good to tell members there may already be posts, pic's, or a thread on the subject they are asking about :)

Agreed, I've IM'd back.:)
I've also noticed that when you go on these past thread, lots of them have been cleaned up, No photos etc.Nuff said on this matter me thinks:P

Frothy photo's are not taken off by the moderators, but by the poster who posted them.... Some we can find if they are asked for again, as other members like myself may have copied them, or the poster reposts. However others may be gone if the poster is no longer an active member, in that case there is nothing we can do.

Sorry folks but I have scanned through 10 pages of thr thread on the link provided and could not see the Tea Wagon mentioned ??

Sorry not sure what happened to one of the posts on that thread Alf pointed you to.
The poster may have removed the post, but I do have a pic' of the Gaurmont that had been put on there...
View attachment 35899Click on the pic' to enlarge...
Snow hill station was to the left of the pic and the Pie Cart was next to the Cinema if I remember right on the right of the pic'.
I also believe when the cinema was demolished that the facade was put into storage to be reused at a later date... wonder where it is now?
