Could someone look for the baptism of the following please -
1. In 1796 - John Taylor - according to family search - Could be John Taylor and Sarah?

2. And the marriage of a John Taylor c. 1798 - father Richard taylor and Margaret.

Any info would help me decide which is my gt.gt.grandfather.
Many thanks,
Sheri

there was a child baptised at st. martins on 19 sep 1798 with parents richard and margaret taylor but the name of the child is completely smudged over!

ive also found a richard taylor christened at st. martins on 27th nov 1785 with parents richard and margaret taylor. igi has margarets maiden name as broughall.

there was a marriage at st. martins of richard taylor (of this parish) bachelor to margaret broughall spinster of the parish of st. phillips on 2nd march 1783. witnesses were thomas terry and john? brooke

Hi Aidan and Shera, Sorry I haven't replied before - have been away for a few days. Thank you for the information - I have quite ab it of information on Richard and Margaret. I am not so sure they are the parents of my John Taylor because on the 1841 census he says he was born 1796 (not always reliable I know). The other couple - on family search - there is one born 1796 withparents John Taylor and Sarah. I couldn't find any more about them.
Many thanks,
Sheri
