1871 census No 2 Glovers building,186 Francis Street,Duddeston

Charles Swingler age 29 b. Lubenham Leics. bedstead fitter
Selina age 22 wife, born birmingham
Charles T age 1 b. Birmingham

What a sad story,
Charles married Selina Burbudge in 1867
Selina died in March 1879 age 30
Charles died in December 1879 age 34.
 
In the 1881 census Charles T Swingler, aged 11, is in "Sir Josiah Mason's Orphanage" Erdington Near Birm.

and in the 1891 census Charles Swinger is in 8 House, Jones Buildings, Moland Street with wife Eliza (nee Hanson, marriage 1st quarter 1890 B'ham vol 6d page 147) and daughter Lilly aged 7 months (Lily Eliza Swingler birth reg, 4th quarter 1890 Birmingham vol 6d page 147). Charles is a 'Shoeing Smith'

There was a Swingler family living in Witton during the 1950's/60's. I believe the father worked for Birmingham Buses and lost a leg in a traffic accident. There was a son called I think, John.
Any help ?
 
I have Swinglers in my family tree, Tom Jayes SWINGLER born 1848 registered in Market Harborough. Leicestershire.
Married Emma Jane NEWTON in 1871 , Aston - children from the marriage were all born in Aston -
Florence 1871, Gertrude Amy 1874, Mary Ann 1878, Tom Edward 1880, Alice 1881, Edith Annie 1883 and Christopher 1884.

In 1881 Tom Jayes was a blacksmith and 1891 an iron chair maker living in the Smethwick area. I wonder if Charles connected to 'my lot'.
