I believe this photo was taken in the Swanpool tavern. I think it just sums up an era, probably mid-fifties.

certainly does sum up an era pen..reminds me our dad sitting round the table playing cards looks like they are drinking mild..swan and mitre still there and i believe still open...

Just found this other photo - although it's not a very good one it shows all the trophies won by customers of the pub. In the window is a tower (cupola? or something?) minus the spike / flagpole, which I think proves that it's in the Swanpool and this would be the same pub as post #1. I can't work out where this clubroom would've been - any ideas anyone?
