thanksHi Bob,
Didn’t realise you were scanning it.
I would scan it as a jpg and use the scanner preview to see what you will get and reposition as required.

What a mess I made trying to post this.Bracebridge Pool from a postcard published by Salmon, not postally used, but from the number, colour and car I should say late fifties early sixties. I think an expert will have to play with it and the one going into Cannon Hill. What format should I scan in
I am learning all the time from all these much younger , obvDon't think of it as a mess Bob - more a learning curve!
I stopped posting for ages because I couldn't get my pictures onto the forum and then Lyn, I think it was, explained and all was well after that. At the time they were too large and she told me how to re-size them. I've learned so much from the folks on here.
At last, I think thanks to OMWhat a mess I made trying to post this.

In the very hot summer of 1976 I had driven into the park with my young son. Suddenly the heathland near Banners Gate burst into flames with thick smoke everywhere. We tried to leave by Banners Gate but the smoke and flames stopped us getting through and we were turned round by the police and fire people and told to leave immediately via Boldmere Gate.Does anyone remember when it was on fire in the 70s.We lived by the Buccaneer in Streetly and had to have the windows closed all the time because of the smoke and ash.It was sweltering.

My mother was in the WVS food Flying Squad and they did the hospital catering at the World Jamboree Sutton Coldfield in 1947. (I don’t see my mother either)What a great image! The ladies in the picture all appear to be members of the WRVS who were much involved in the eating arrangements. (My mother was one of them although I don't see her in this picture). The blokes all seem to have official boiler suits and berets too. I wonder what Service they belonged to.
