Nice video Dave and the music. That's the way I go into the park. I thought you were going to drive through the gate at the end though !!

Thanks Dave, always had it hand held but will now try dash mounting & see how that works.
Do you know how I can upload my videos to web sites?

Nice one Dave!! where can I get that Music from? I could do with some of that for my Motorway driving. Can't get too relaxed on there though. Reg.

Smashing Dave!! I haven't walked over there in that!! sort of weather since i was a kid. I remember it still, up to our knees it was. You managed to brave it and get out of the Car then. You're a braver man than me.

Dave your films are lovely they conjure up so many childhood memories. We are indeed lucky to live so near to this beautiful place!

Peter thanks for posting those photos. I can not believe it was that many years ago. We had not long moved to Dunedin road and Pete was going to watch it when one of our twins was taken ill and he could not make it. How time fly's. Jean.

My cousin took part in that Rally. I think he drove an Escort not sure of the model. He also used to race at Henesford Hills Raceway. He lives in Sutton.

peter...those pics have taken me back...i am almost 100 per cent sure that i was there for that rally....lived in gt barr at the time...if you have anymore pics it would be great to see them...

cheers

lyn

Stood at that corner in photo 2 with my buddy JOHN MORRIS, just up from Boldmere Gate/ Powells Pool, The cars came up the hill from direction of the Main Gate passed Wyndley to that very sharp corner & down to Keepers (nice to see the old LIDO in that other pic)

Hi Lyn and all

I have some other pictures, do a bit in photoshop, and put them in an album. I am pleased that it may bring back happy memories.

On the morning of the Rally I remember having a pint in the Sutton Park Hotel, the good old days of Ansells and M&B and proper ale.

Best wishes Peter

(As you can see in the avatar, I would not have done any good in the Rally!)

Peter we stop off there on a nice day too. I like the other place better by one of the pools. I think it used to be called Bobby Browns and may still be. Jean.

What a cracking video Dave, living on The Beacon I over look that side of the Park and well remember when you could drive in any of the gates & out any too - but with the morning traffic into Sutton or Brum it became a "Rat- Run" so it was best for the Park the gates were installed. I particually liked the Windley gate area - the kids used to feed the ducks & love me to drive through the little ford there. See ya soon Eric
