Keeper’s Well, located along the road from the Jamboree Stone to Keeper’s Pool, has a very simple history. As with the pool of the same name it is thought to be named because of a medieval Park Keeper’s Lodge nearby, though no concrete evidence exists to prove this. The well was eventually capped, presumably due to either advancements in medicine and indoor plumbing and therefore bathing or due to safety reasons.
