Surname "Thomas" - from Aston area??

I am looking for family information regarding Violet Thomas who married a Albert E Stocker.
I am aware they married in 1925. I am looking for Violet's roots as I don't yet know who her family were etc.


I am sure these famillies were from Aston area of B'Ham - I am trying to find information on each of these famillies.

Does anybody know of any of these people - I can't download the EXCEL sheets on aston streetnames etc.. on the Aston site as my PC doesn't have excel - and the download part doesn't seem to be working on my PC for some odd reason - I did try to look.

have you any more information regarding these two people do you know when Voilet and Albert died do you have either of their parents names (Albert Edwin Stocker born July quarter 1904 Aston 6d 336 ?) possible only, not confirmed have you got the marriage certificate if not you could realy do with it you can get the certificate from Birmingham new registrar office with this information Alfred E Stocker= Voilet Thomas married January quarter 1925  6d 43

Thank you for that - I will get the marriage certificate ASAP.

Albert appears to have died in 1965.

Violet did remarry back in 2nd qtr of 1935 (vol 6d page 1332) (not sure whether that entry shows a Walter Purvis married a Violet Stocker or Thomas)

Not sure what happened in the first Marriage with Violet & Albert - whether it was divorce or something naughty? When I first heard of the 2 marriages with Violet I did assume she had been widowed - but looks like that wasn't so.

I will try order marriage certificate online as I am not in B'ham till after Easter break - so may be quicker to try order online??

Maybe the certificate will give me better details of who these people were related to? I shall order both certs as information will be there for both these marriages and give a better picture.
