Summer Lane

Just realised that the earlier post of the gateway says it was in Summer Lane, but the text states it was in Loveday Street. I notice there was a model Lodging house in Summer Lane that was opposite the hospital . could ther ebe two SA sites and paper confused them

Thank you ! Not a church I've heard of before. Crazy to think it was once "in the fields"/allotments/guinea gardens.

i was hoping the whole of summer lane would be there forever :D now wouldnt that be a treat

Hi Lyn,

I'm just completing the whole of the High Street, Erdington. It started off as a project but has now turned into a Power Point. This is with great help from this website and especially MikeJee who scanned many directories for me and the posts on the Erdington threads. The pictures aren't all of the same date but it does give an overall feel of the street in times gone by.

I've got a couple of projects to finish for Heritage Week and then I'll have a go at it for Summer Lane if you like.

Penny x
