Stretton, William Henry

Hello and welcome Shirley can you give us any more information the area of Birmingham and a time scale.

In 1912 there is a William Henry Stretton who was eligible for the Electoral Roll via "stabling" property on Barr Street. His actual address was 34 Albion Road Handsworth Staffordshire, from at least 1901..
He was a carpenter and had 14 children with wife Sarah (nee Whithers). He was born in Enderby,Leicestershire. I think they married in 1872.
In 1901 he was an employer.

Willaim Henry Stretton is listed in the 1912 Kellys as a builder at 86 vyse St, 110 Spencer St & 200 Barr St

Thank you ladylida - much obliged for that info - are you related by any chance???? William Henry Stretton was my great grandfather. Would love to have contact if you have any further info or in fact are a relation.
Thanks again
Shirley
