Stonebridge Hotel

Stonebridge Hotel.
This wasn't in Birmingham but, living in Sheldon, this was a short ride along the Coventry Road and into the countryside. My Grandparents would call in and while they had a quiet drink I'd paddle on the stoney shore of the stream near the bridge. By 1961,with the development of the Coventry Road and the quick expansion of Stonebridge Island it had disappeared. No more paddling in the stream so I had to settle for less exciting visits to the Malt Shovel across the road!

We have an existing thread for this hotel. I am moving your post to that thread. Thanks for posting your interesting photos.

Viv.

Edit, post now moved.

Does anyone have the GPS coordinates on where the Stonebridge Hotel was located? We are visiting from Canada later this month & doing some family research. Husband's 3rd ggf ran the place - John Tannerner.

*** Never mind I found maps so I could find the spot on Google maps.... It was a gorgeous building! So sad to see the old beautiful ones demolished.
