The photo looks rather like it was taken between 1900 and 1907.
The trailer car 131 was the first if six constructed by the CBT Co. in 1900. Steam trams were abandoned in January 1907. As far as I can see the service along the Stratford Road commenced in March 1885 as far as Showell Green Lane. It was extended in 1900 to College Road, Sparkhill.
