Stampers Kicker

Pedrocut

Master Barmmie
Looking into family research I came across the occupation Stampers Kicker.

A brother in the same household was a Steel Stamper and the date around 1910, does anyone have any ideas?

Happy New Year to All Pedro

Attached is a photo of a kick press they come in all sizes but mainly small as used in the jewelery trade..The photo shows a rather large one the operator sits in front of the press with his feet on a pedal, kicking the pedal forward brings the top tool down to the bottom tool

Thanks a lot mike-g

I am sure that you are right. I have again looked at the census and the head of the household was a “Silver Smith Stamping Factory”.

In fact one of the lads was living with his married sister and the other was her son. They both responded to the call to arms, and both died in action one being buried in Belgium and the other in France.

Thanks again Peter
