Hello,
I went to st Thomas in 1968. It was an all boys school then. The teachers I remember then were Mr Doherty head teacher, Mr Bird deputy head, Mr McCarthy senior married to Mrs McCarthy, Mr McCarthy junior P.E. Mr Nash, Mrs Doherty married to Mr Doherty, Mr Kearns, possibly Mr Jones & a couple more that I can't remember at the moment as one or two weren't there very long. I left July 1972. At that point the school was ok. A year or two after I left someone set fire to the building. The modern meeting/sports hall survived as the bottom part of the building was saved.
