Am researching my Gt Gt Grandfather William Hood Born 1811 in Hurley, Christened in Kingsbury same year.
Would love to know if any records exist in the church pending a visit there.

Have you tried giving Kingsbury library a call? 01827 872333. Since Kingsbury is in Warwickshire the records are probably held at the County Archives but the library should be able to point you in the right direction.
Another possible source of information is the corresondent for the village who writes for the local weekly paper that covers the area 'The Tamworth Herald' Brian Moss on 01827873315 is the man (I havent given any secrets away his name and telephone number are printed in the newspaper so its probably okay to give him a call see what he thinks).
You could always give the vicarage a call or drop them a line at:

Revd. Janet Gasper
The Vicarage,
Church Lane,
Kingsbury,
Tamworth B78 2LR.
Telephone: 01827 874252

My goodness! what a response! and what brilliant information to back it up. Sincere thanks Cornwall Col, on to it straight away.
Regards, Graham

Thanks Colin. Have spoken to the vicar who explained that all records are at the Warwickshire archives. Thanks for the offer of photographs, but I would like to see it myself. The Rev explained that the church is locked but told me where she lives (if she is there at the time). Pub info again is excellent and will be taken up. Many thanks again.

I too lived in Cornwall for 30 years, now 5 miles from Yeovil in Sherborne and previously Crete. Small world.
