St Marys Row Moseley

St Marys Row was an integral part of Mosley Village. It had pubs, banks, shops, the village green and the public toilets [underground!] as well as St Marys Church which was the original parish church of Moseley. I remember it as a facinating row of interesting shops; Gascoines the undertakers but more recently a furniture/china shop, Druckers patisserie with bakery at the back, Pottery & Pieces a magnet for children as well as adults and much more. This was before the rapid conversion of many Moseley Village properties into cafes or pubs. Was this an improvement?

Here are some more phots from my collection. Always difficult to remember if they have been shown before. Apols if they have.
