St Mary’s Garden.

The garden must have been where the Dental Hospital was built. That has also gone (c2022) and the 2024 Streetview shows the land being redeveloped.

It was open ended on the 17th October 1882 but not without a bit of controversy.

Some cried desecration! No fewer than 57,226 souls had been interred in the graveyard and there were 1,200 stones.
