Asking for a favour would anyone have a Ladywood map that shows house numbers particularly interested in 5/120 St marks street regards paddy.

If you use this site https://www.old-maps.co.uk/# put in the modern postcode for St Marks Street you will be able to select from a series of old maps. (You can subscribe but you don't have to - it just limits the magnification you can have). The 1955 map shows the numbers.

Hi Lyn, there is another thread for St Marks Street here, in case you think they should be combined

I think it was Mrs. Fitzpatricks shop, seems to fit the map, looks like Mrs. Fitzpatrick is standing behind the counter

Date:1st of January 1969 - 31st of December 1969 (c.)

Description:No.55 St Mark's Street, Ladywood, on the corner of King Edward's Road. This street ran from Shakespeare Road to Summer Hill Road, but in 1969 when this photograph was taken the area was shortly to be redeveloped. The road is now much shorter than it used to be. In 1963 Mrs V. Cartledge is listed at this address as a beer retailer, and the photograph makes it quite plain whose beer she was selling. In the following year's directory she is no longer there.
