brilliant mike..thank you as that map has also answered a question i had about the exact layout of the church yard...

lyn..

Lyn,If you look at your first picture, the doorway on the extreme right was the rear entrance to St Georges C of E infant and junior school.

Have marked on modified map in colour. Blue line is area covered by picture 1, and buildings are marked on photo and map in same colour (I think, hope Moss agrees with me)

Spot on Mike,in fact the last building was part of the school and housed the headmasters office.Moss.

Here you are Lyn the front entrance to St Georges school to go with the other two I gave you, the school entrance is just after the van on the right of the photograph.
My mate Kenny Cox went to St Georges school prior to coming to Burlington street, he said there used to be a round water tank in St Georges place during the war is was a circular tank unlike the oblong one in Park lane, Ken was out of New John Street born 1939

hello i was born in st georges place in 1945 and left in 1958. i lived at no 41 which was next door but one to st georges school. i remember irene rudge, brenda bates, phillip smith and liam clarke.i loved st georges church and old jack the park keeper who lived in the hut in the grounds.its hard to find a picture of the church. old jack buried my budgie in the park for me. my family moved to rubery and shortly afterwards everyone was scattered all over birmingham.janet lane
