I think my friend may just have one Lyn will mail her tomorrow. She does not get much time to post on the forum as she runs a very busy pub and may just be taking a break at the moment. Will do my best. Jean.

I can do you a couple of photos of St Clement's Church itself, if thats any good?

Phil

thanks phil...that would be great...

lyn

OK Lyn

You do realise that the church was much further up the hill on Nechells Park Rd on the corner of Stuart St don't you?

Here is a photo of how the church looked originally, then one in 1946 and the last is in 2000 and I presume it still looks that way today.

I was trying to find where the church was and came across the following in google@
Nechells History - Nechells Oral History Project

Nechells Ward covers much of the centre of the City of Birmingham. ... St ClementsVicarage is centre background. [Birmingham Central Library: Local Studies ...
www.nechellsbaths.org.uk/history19c.html
but the site seems to have removed the particular picture and page .But presumably this means there is a picture in tthe local studies section

Here you are Lyn,
Again taken from the MARIA TWIST book.
I;ve marked vicarage in yellow, but that's about it I'm afraid.
Would be interesting to see if that's a pub lamp and if so what pub ?.
All the best John.
