St Bartholomew Birmingham Look Ups

Carol R

knowlegable brummie
Hi all

This is a long shot, but here goes

I am looking for a burial of a William RUSSON, but I am not sure which church. His last child was registered in Birmingham Dec Q 1849. In the 1851 census his wife Ann was a widow and living on Baggot Street. So he must have died sometime between March 1849 & March 1851.

Thanks
Carol

Hi there

IGI has a burial for a William Russon - burial date 28 April 1850 Saint Bartholomew, Birmingham but I can't see this on the BMD index for some reason.

Ahh, here it is - found it by looking at the actual indexes for the quarter - William Russon AMJ 1850 ref. 16 20 (should be 16 207)
it has been transcribed as William Russo (N) but actual index says Russon

Hi

Thanks very much for your quick reply. It wasn't such a long shot after all. I will send for the certificate.

Thanks
Carol
