Hello im looking for the spence family .

Herbert H spence dob 1886 born Dudley as yet ive not been able to find a death cert for him.

Caroline spence, nee Hickman born 1890 sedgley as yet ive not been able to find a death cert for her .

Herbert and Caroline were married in 1916 in Dudley
Herbert and Caroline had a daughter, Marjorie born 1917 in Dudley. ive yet to find a birth cert for her .

any help would be greatly appreciated.

theres a death of a herbert h spence 1959 birmingham jul-sep aged 73yrs.

also a death of a caroline spence 1961 dudley apr-jun aged 70yrs.

and a birth of marjorie spence 1917 jul-sep dudley. mmn hickman 6b 1450

Advice please. I would like to look up details of my family to get information similar to those that Shera has provided. Where do I look please? Any advice on family lookup would be much appreciated. Where do I start etc. thanks

looking at the names of spence and hickmns are they related i was wondering whether or not was these familys fruiterirs
as there was hickmans fruit and vegs and spencers on the lodge rd many years ago fruit and veg ;

Hello Astonian, As far as i know Herbert H spence was a plumber, or that is whats on his marriage certificate.

Shera, yes thats the family im looking for, but cant find any address in the birmingham area where i think they may of lived.

it looks as if they lived in dudley lynn. i have the electoral rolls for bham up to 1965 and cant see them. i wonder whether herbert died in bham just because he was in hospital there, as caroline died in dudley 2 years later. all the best, shera
