jan looks to me as though they have put some sort of screening in front of the fireplace..does not look like bricks..either way i cant go over there and rip it down lol..thanks for the heads up

Was in Birmingham Home Guard during WWII and was formerly of Coldstream Guards. Apparently he died in 1975 in Park Hill, Moseley. Not sure if he actually lived in South Bank or was just there to open the exhibition.
