somewhere in hockley

HI GUYS
speaking of hockley; today i went to umpton on severn and i found a very old curiousity shop
it was a quaint little old shop pack with alsorts of old time things
going back years and today i discovered an old police whistle with its oriningle litte leather tag
where upom the old police officier would have had it buttoned to his top pocket of his uniform
and it was stamped huddsons of hockley ; and stamped on it the year 1914 so i asked the little lady for her best price a it was tagged at eighty five pounds but she said i could have it for seventy pounds so i bought it
i gave the lady abit of history on it and the place of hudsons my old dear did not thought t was a good idea
but i purchased it any way the lady said she lived in tewkesbury and did no any history of the birminham
i was well chuffed with my purchase ; best wishes astonian

Heaven help Alan if his'Old Dear' takes a look at eBay today:friendly_wink:

Mind you there is a bit of jealousy as I asked Linda to readout what was stamped on my Policeman's Whistle. She said it read 'Made In Shanghai':disillusionment:
