It certainly is!Very interesting Lyn, thanks for posting it. Hindsight's a wonderful thing isn't it...
Where did they find al those 'posh, putting it on.' speakers?![]()
Thanks lyn for posting.not in Birmingham but would think stories like this one were the same all over the country...you would think that all this happened many years ago but the Bradley children in this video are most likely still living...some things don't change though as housing is still a big problem...maybe it will never change

I found the brickmaking interesting also and would love to see more photos about the local brickmaking industry. She could have been making a decorative tile or slab.I agree Mort. Was intrigued by the brickmaker. As I see it the brick she is making is enormous! And in the shop counter , it looks like Black country people lived on CornFlakes
I was thinking the same too. It looks quite big for a brick in 1983.I found the brickmaking interesting also and would love to see more photos about the local brickmaking industry. She could have been making a decorative tile or slab.
Mort, as you say the pictures are quiet and ordinary and yet seem to shout very loudly! If that make sense.A very interesting article in the Guardian - Invisible TVs and a giraffe called Don: extraordinary Midlands’s scenes – in pictures.
John Myers captures quietly ordinary images of people, places – and sometimes animals – often taken within walking distance of his Stourbridge home.
Enjoy
Yes, they do indeed.Mort, as you say the pictures are quiet and ordinary and yet seem to shout very loudly! If that make sense.
