im trying to trace a william h smith and a annie smith(ne hudson) i think they were living in 1 union rd birmingham 1924- 1925 he was a panter and decorator any help out there regards diane

You could try the Birmingham electorol rolls which are available up to 1955 on this website: https://www.midlandshistoricaldata.org/index.html
There is a small fee but you can search by single or two names or an address, this may help you to locate them up to this date.

No william h smith comes up on the electoral rolls in 1925. william smith is so common that the search times out. No ann, annie or Ane smith is listed for 1925 at union rd. indeed, looking at union road, there is no smith listed there in 1925, so possibly they were only there for a short time, not long enough to register

thanks mikejee i now belive that 1 union rd was a work house and that annie smith daughter was named as beartice m hudson /smith b1910 that were she livied her name was changed from hudson to smith in 1924 and that now showes on her birth certificet, her mother maiden was hudson . thanks for your help i will have look at other years in the electoral rolls regards diane
