My first home was 81 Newton Rd., my nan's house. I have the 1945 electoral roll for Newton Rd., and can see your mom was at 127 with Michael G. and Peggy Smith. Funny thing was that nan moved to Newton Rd. after she was bombed out of her home on the Warwick Rd. in Greet.

When did you move ?,i was at 127 till 1968 then i moved in with my first wife in Aston.
Strange but i know of my Aunt Peggy but my father was the only Michael, middle name was James, and he was away in 1945,so i`m going to have to ask the family who Michael G was.
Thanks again

Hi Ed,

I only lived there for the first few weeks of my life in '49, but nan was there until not long before she died, which was '57. We spent a lot of time down at nans at weekends as kids. My mom was there at the same time as your mom. I wonder if they knew each other in passing. Re. the Michael G. Smith, my mom's name was spelt incorrect on one electoral roll.
