Hi,

Joseph Henry SMITH born 27th February 1876 at 464 Park Road, Hockley. Father Joseph Henry Smith born abt 1853- Plasterer married Mary Ann James born abt 1855 Birmingham. I have Joseph Henry (junior's) Birth Certificate after tracing his exact date of birth via NHS Registration Records 1939. Does anyone have any links or have any information as to what I could do to find out more about 464 Park Road? I've found a Joseph and Mary on 1881 cencus, but no son? Any help or advice is appreciated.

Kind Regards
Karen

Re: Joseph Henry SMITH

Have checked the electoral rolls 1912 to 1950 for 464 Park Road, and there is no one named Smith. Sorry.

Re: Joseph Henry SMITH

i dont know if this is any help karen but there is a joseph and mary smith in 1881 living park lane aston with a son joseph h. smith aged 5yrs. they also have phoebe e smith aged 10yrs and mary f. smith 7yrs. trouble is that joseph smith is 35 gun finisher b. enfield lock and mary smith is 34 b. bham. all the children were b. bham
its probably a coincidence that it was park lane instead of park road.

Re: Joseph Henry SMITH

Hi Barrie,

Thanks for taking a look for me. I have Joseph Henry's Birth Cert and it states Park Road back in 1876. However, I have noticed on the 1911 cencus that my great grandfather states that he was born in Lodge Road, but he probably lived there when he was a little boy. He had a connection with the gypsy's of Birmingham or so legend has it!.

Happy New Year
Karen
