SIDEBOTHAM, THOMAS. D.1847 in New Zealand

Hello
I'm interested in finding out any information about Thomas Sidebotham.
He was living in New Zealand in 1844, and I have found that a man with the same name applied for free passage to NZ in July 1839. At the time he was aged 34, cabinetmaker, and living at 43 Cheapside Birmingham WAR EN. I'm not sure if he is the same person however, as in details about his death in Nelson NZ, he was described as a young man. [By 1847 he would have been aged about 41, which wasn't so young back then]...

The NZ Co. passage to NZ application does say he had three children, one aged 8 - so perhaps, plucking at straws, this child may also have been named Thomas...
No wife's name stated but her age in 1839 was 24. I'd be keen to hear from anyone with information about Thomas in Birmingham, Thanks.

There is Will for a Thomas Sidebotham who died in Nelson 1847 and he appears to leave everything to his sister Alice, the wife of Adam Jackson.

An Alice Sidebotham marries an Adam Jackson 7 Apr 1841 in Stockport, Cheshire. It gives her father's name as James.

Adam and Alice emigrate in 1841 and Alice dies 4 Mar 1901, dob given as 23 May 1816.

There appears to be a non-conformist christening for her in 1816, parents James and Pebe.
