Seven Stars Inn, Solihull

In the 1881 Census, (RG11; Piece: 3067; Folio: 93; Page: 9) there is Herbert M. Jackson (occ: Breeder of Thoroughbreds) and family living at
I have wracked my brain and neither do I.
PMJ: There is Wroxall Abbey which is between Solihull and Hampton in Arden. It was turned into a hotel but closed down last year. https://www.wroxallestate.co.uk/wroxall-abbey

Edited to add that I think this refers to Coventry rather than Solihull.
 
Having looked at the Coventry census it is not an Abbey but Abbey Farm and the Seven Stars refers to a stud farm. So we can rule that out.

That fits with the report of the court being held on Saturday 6th Oct

The Public Hall (built in 1876) seems to be the building I grew up knowing as the Council House - still standing in Poplar Road (off Warwick Road) but now a pub.

The Police Station stood next door to it.
The Inn underlined in green is the Barley Mow (and named as such in the directory). The Inn underlined in red is the Saddlers Arms (also named). Both still stand although the Saddlers has a different name now.

That ties in with police being able to run to help.

However - the only mention of a Seven star Inn (so far) is that newspaper article.

I am wondering if it was either a lodging house - there are several on Warwick Road although not easy to know where as numbering changed. Or a beer house. Both could have a "local" unofficial name
