My name is Ron Gilliver, and I attended Station Road Sec-Mod School from about 1941-2. I remember most of the teachers, including Mr Stanton, the Head, Miss Wilkinson, Miss Beck, Miss Bonham, Mr Abel and Mr Tozer. i also attended the Chapel in Earls Court Road, while waiting for the roof to be repaired at Station Road, after the Germans dropped incendiary bombs on it! Anyone out there remember me?

Hi Ron, I think you may have yours wires crossed. Station Road was an Infant and Junior school at the years mentioned, it was situated at Witton, Birmingham. I was there in those years and do not remember any of the names mentioned. Also I do not recall it being bombed but I may be wrong. I cannot recollect a road 'Earls Court Road' in the area but I may be wrong.
it's a long time ago. I await your further thoughts, Kind regards, George.

Hello Ron, I attended Station Road Secondary Modern School in Harborne, but it was a few years after you were there. I remember the teachers and Headmaster that you mention. If you enter the name of the school in full in the white box at the top of the page above 'Advanced Search' you will be directed to 'Schools and Schoolfriends' thread and will find information there that I and others have written about our school. There is a picture of Mrs Heart's class 3.1. with Mr Stanton. I believe the school has a website with photos; probably of the football teams which should be of interest to you. Anthea
