Saunders Family from Birmingham

Hi,
I am new of this board so I wanted to say firstly... Hello...and secondly, to see if there was anyone who can help me with the search for my family. I know that my Grand Father (Christopher Saunders) was Born in 1915 in Birmingham. His mothers Maiden name was Shute. I have found from looking at Free BMD that there was also his brother (Victor Saunders) who was born and died in 1917, as well as his Sister (Edna Saunders) who was born 1921. I am not sure where to go from here. I have found what I believe is the marriage between Sarah A Shute and James Thomas L Saunders in Birmingham 1897.
I would like to see the Census reports but the search faciliy on Ancestry.co.uk does not allow the filtering out of the names and the Placed... for example, i have tried seaching for Sarah Ann Saunders, Birmingham and just finded every Sarah Ann Saunders regardless of where they were from. is this normal or is there a better was for me to filter out the information that I need?
I know that I have asked for the moon on a stick with this post but i would love some one to give me a lttle "carrot" to get me on the right track.

and it gave you the exact date as well?

is there a way that you can recommend I search as I dont seem to find anything if I specifiy a name and a place (i.e birmingham) I just get the search results in no particular order which is really annoying..

Mega Confused Now!

Hi,

I have found some more information from some certificates that I have gotten from the registry office in Brum. I have the following,

Victor Saunders (Born 14/05/1917 and died 15/05/1917) his father was James Thomas Saunders.

Edna Saunders (Born 2/4/1921 and died in November 2001) her parent details are James Thomas Saunders and Sarah M Saunders. (the "M" stands for Melissa but the next bit of information is what confused the life out of me....

James Thomas Luke Saunders married Sarah Ann Shute 23/05/1897, now, notice the middle name for Sarah? its shown as Ann yet on the births it is shows as Melissa. Also there seems to be a rather large gap between them getting married and having some kids? does this not seem strange? when they got married, James was 21 and Sarah was 20. Her fathers name was Charles Shute and James's fathers name was James Saunders.

From me looking at this, it seems that maybe he remarried a sister of the original Sarah Ann Shute and that would explain the gap. but then again I am just guessing here.

I have tried to look on the Census on Ancestry.co.uk but again, I am not finding anything really.

Is there anyone here who can help me expland this further and provide me with some clues?
