Can i have a look up please on electoral roles for Mary (born c1870), last known address 1911 Freeth Street, can find no death for her and in 1911 her husband Isaac isn't listed and she's not listed as Widow. Thank you
Claire
No mary Sargeant comes up at all on the electoral rolls. there are one or two mary sargeants. The only ones in 1920 and 1925 (also listed in 1930) are Mary Sargeant Aitken at 324 Shaftmoor lane , who is with Robert Balfour Aitken

Thanks all, Shera that is My Gt Grandfather and his brothers, I am trying to find what happened to their parents Mary and Isaac, I can't find any deaths listed anywhere to find when they died. She doesn't list herself in 1911 as widow, he's nowhere to be found in 1911, and i can't find a marriage at all for them, so i don't think they married, which is a pain as i can't find her father and family.
i have searched for the marriage but had no luck either. a couple of the children appear on the igi for christenings, one in st. peter and st. paul, aston, the other in bishop ryder., but mothers name is just down as mary or mary ann.
checked again on the electoral rolls and in 1912 isaac sargent is listed twice for 1912
one of them says... list of people objected to (parliamentary and local government)
the following persons have been objected to as not being entitled to have their names retained on division one of the occupiers list of electors.
isaac sargent 74 freeth street.
the other is on the normal list again for 74 freeth st.
Thanks Shera, 74 Freeth Street was the address in 1911, so it must be him, which means he was alive, I wonder why there is an objection... very strange... maybe that is why he isn't listed on the 1911.. Still can't find his or her death....I will check out those christenings... from my Gt Grandfathers birth certificate her name is given as formerly Simpson, but i can't find a marriage, so doubt they married... and her YOB in 1911 and 1901 differs, so I have no way of tracking down her family
