jane sanders married george whitehouse in birmingham date un known but by 1851 she was a widow aged 41 with children ,
joseph whitehouse 13
mary whitehouse 9
thomas whitehouse 5.
and alfred wisley 45 lodger.
by the 1861 census:crying:
jane has married the lodger
1861 st george sub district
alfred wigley 56 head
jane wigley 49 wife
joseph whitehouse 23
thomas h whitehouse 16
unable to find either of janes weddings the death of george whitehouse, birth of any of the children or which was the right name for alfred was it wisley or wigley. any help or ideas on any of these people would be a great help as i cannot move forward or backwards without finding out more. thank you.
 
on the igi the marriage of jane cartwright whitehouse to alfred wigley 21st jan 1860 aston juxta bham.
 
theres a death of george whitehouse 1846 aston jan-mar 16 117

which looks right for date of last childs birth.

a birth of thomas whitehouse 1846 apr-jun aston 16 184 (there is also one in 1846 district bham but as all the other records have been aston this looks most likely)

thank you i agree it does seem to be the right one but why the change of name i dont know.never heard of an ambrose in the family before mind ii havnt heard of the cartwright either so it seems i have a few more headaches.
why did ancestors make it so difficult for us poor people trying to find them.
once again thank you for your help i do appreciate it.
 
there are two other people researching your tree on ancestry.

ambrose blackham whitehouse parents are job whitehouse 1777-1841 and mary blackham 1780-1804.

job whitehouses parents are job whitehouse 1750-1777 and mary 1750

jane cartwright sanders parents are john sanders 1775
and ann cartwright 1782

in 1841 this is john and ann sanders living little hampton st. bham

i have to admit to being a very late starter on computers. so i had someone to research for me.assuring me the name was george.i had nothing else to go on other than this. so you see how grateful i am for all of this.
