Saltley railway station

In the 1970s I worked as a second man at Saltley shed. Whilst there I managed see some old brickwork from the old station. (Track side ).
Spend a lot of time rostered on the shunt engine. Also in the 1960 s lived in dolman street and we would walk to alum rock to go shopping. I did post the old station picture when I first joined in 2006 . But the site went down in 2010 and could never sign in on my original name. And all my old post are no longer on here.

I only really remember it as a hole in the wall. Never seen many people going down to the station. But it was closed down when I was 6 so don’t remember a lot . Only walking past it.
