This was a basic training unit which was based at Ludgershall on Salisbury Plain, although as his death was registered in Birmingham I doubt he was there at the time. It also says he "died", which means of illness, natural causes or accident. It would be worth obtaining his death certificate for details.

Now that's interesting Chris.
Would you know when 7 Bn was posted to France ? I found a family memorial near where I live,
to a Pte ELKS David 29630 of 7 Bn RWARWICKS, who fell in action in France 1st Nov 1918.
