Royal Hospital Parkhouse, West, Wolverhampton.

Can any kind person shed any light on the above hospital, my cousin was born there in 1942. Although the place of birth was listed as 364 Park road West. Wolverhampton. Looking at the 1939 Register that number is not listed. But it would seem likely that she was born at the Ronol Hospital and their address may have been 364. Any help would be gratefully received.

I think you mean the Royal Hospital. Have corrected the title. This was a collective name covering several hospitals in 1940, including on eon the corner of Park Road West and Connaught Road. That site was then named the Women's Hospital and now as West Park Hospital. However , looking at the 1950s map there is no numbering anything as high as the 300s, noe higher than 100. I do not believe that brenumbering took place berween the 1940s and 1950s, so this is little mysterious

You are right it is Royal Hospital, my mistake. As for the number this could have added to the birth cert in error, as you say nothing above 100. it is odd all the same.
