Looking for any details on my great aunt Rose Ollis. she was born Rose Harrison to George and Rose of Angelina Street.

I know Rose Ollis died in 1983. She was married and ran pubs for many many years so would like to find out any details including any of the pubs she may have run.

Christopher Ollis marriage to Rose Lillian Harrison 4th quarter 1918 Birmingham vol 6d page 478.

Both at 4 Pleasant Terrace, Wynn Street in 1930/35 Electoral rolls, then 147 Bell Barn Road in 1939. That's both in Lea Bank area.

Thanks, yes that is definately my great aunt as her name was Rose Lilian.
Can you access electoral roles on line??
Any idea how I can find out what pubs they may have ran?

have had a look at the directories I have and also the black country pubs CD and couldn't find any Ollis as landlord of a pub. (lots of Hollis's in the black country though). Could be that it was between 1921-32. or in another gap, but are you sure it was in birmingham?

Yes it was definately Birmingham. My dad remembers going to the pub to see is aunt as he was growing up but cant remember where they were. Dad was born in 1939 so im guessing it was post 1945 for him to remember it at all.

hi paul,i am barry ollis,son of rose& chris ollis.how is sylvia,i did"nt know valerie very well.
mom was one of 8 children. i"ll try send pub names later

Any information you have would be fantastic on the pubs and the family. I am tracing them gradually but it is hard work.

Unfortunately Sylvia passed away a number of years ago with a heart condition. There were three children born to Ivy Harrison and Joseph Hammond, Sylvia, George and Valerie. My dad is George, dont know if you remember him?
