:) Hi there - and thank you for taking the time to look at my 'surname' request. I'm looking to link up with anyone with connections to the surname Rose.

Here are a few details of my line .............

William Rose (My Great GrandFather) - born abt 1875. Balsall Heath
- Married Minnie Jones (a widow) 30/5/1909 Small Heath.

Their Child - Edith Rose (my GrandMother) born out of wedlock - 4 years prior to the marriage

Father of William: Theodore (B 1831)
Mother of William : Ann Marie (B 1836)
Brothers / Sisters of William : Hannah (1865), Theodore (1877), Sara Ann (1860), Benjamin (1862) and Owen (1872).

In 1891 the Census shows Ann Marie (now a widow) living at 3, Sydney Buildings Kings Norton.

In 1901 the family were living at no 2 back of 121 Clifton Road Balsall Heath.

Would love to hear from anyone with links - or anyone who may have postcards / images of that area around that time.

Cheers, Wendy

Hi Wendy,
I have recently started researching my family tree so am sorry for the long delay from when you posted your message, I hope you are still interested in a distant relation. On reading your notes it seems that my Great Grandad was Benjamin Rose (1862) the brother of your Great Grandad William and my research so far takes me back to Ann Rose his mother, things are looking a bit vague before that but I am new to this subject.
I would love to hear from you if you are still interested after all this time.

Best regards,

David Rose:)

Hi David - I am most definitely interested in anyone with 'Rose' links. I have amassed a fair amount of information relating to the 'Roses' - specifically my Great GrandFather (William) - I would be more than happy to share what I have !!!!

I will send you a private message - to arrange a swap of home emails addresses and hopefully to begin a voyae of 'Rose' discoveries !!

Cheers,

Wendy

Hi Maggie - It is too early to tell if we are related. We need to do a bit of digging around - especially relating to the details of your GrandFather Owen Rose. I will send you a private message via this forum so we can talk specific family details.
Cheers
Wendy
