Feel free to use them any way you wish.

John. As Lyn says, that work of yours is impressive. Keep up the good work. But if ever sleep does catch up with you, well you are allowed to have a bit of shut-eye now and again. Barry.

Glad you like it, I have also put another one on the Cromwell St. thread, which is more in a traditional way.John.

Hi,

Has anyone got a photo of 242 or 129 Rocky Lane please or a map showing whereabouts the houses were?

The family of LATCHFORDs lived there in the 20's and 30's. Would they be listed in a Kelly's?

Many thanks.

derek...ive already suggested that john start his own thread...i think i am going to nickname him merlin...as he sure has his own brand of wizardry when it comes to bringing pictures to life.....john is kindly emailing me some of my old stamping ground and i will also be framing them....

Hi Rowan,
No 129 is the HEN and CHICKENS PUB, corner of WILLIAM HENRY STREET.
No. 242 is near Nechells Green just past Scholefield Street.

Thank you John for the photos.

Has 129 always been a pub or would it have been made into one after the family left to live at 242?

Mother-in-law never mentioned living in a pub!!

Thank you agin for your time.

Could find no mention of the Latchfords in Kellys. No 242 was not mentioned at all. No129 is:
1921 William Aston Neale beer retailer
1932 and 1933 Hector H green Hen & Chickens PH
1938 and 1939 Leonard Harbon Hen & Chickens PH
Will sort you out a map of the two addresses
Mike
