i am looking aond the forties or the fifties period i beleive there was little houses on that pat of lower potters hill or it could have been named potters bank ; from aston cross up park lane it was the potters on the left hand side of park lane my brother seems to have been to this house way back in the fifties
but could not recall any christian names or the house numbers
i would be very grateful if some one could give me any think of details to any of them idealy christian names and a bonus would be a house number
once again i thak you all for your tim in takeing and reading my request astonian

Hello Mate. Have checked the Electoral Roll on-line. The isn't one for Potters Bank, and the one for Potters Hill doesn't have anyone named Robinson. Have checked from 1945 to 1955.

Cheers
Barrie.

hi barrie
many thanks for your fast responce and your time my brother may have had the years abit later than i said ;
is it possible have a quick look for park lane or that rd oppersite potters hill it was by a pub called the exchange on park lane but he said it was a little terrace house dad died in 1958 so i know my grand father would have not taken him there in that period she may havehad a little tea room on park lane so coul i please asked for this great favour and do me a another quick look at your earliest possibe time when you can spare and find the time during the earlier sixties it would mean a great lot to myself and my brother whom also is in a bad state of health at this moment
i know you have always helped and done me proud barrie it would be like asking for the world by asking you to take an extra moment
thanks barrie even if you cannot spare me any more valuable on this case for me i have really appreciated indeed
i hope one day we can meet on one of the forums meeting best wishes as always astonian

This is all I could find mate.

Park Lane. No 137. 1950. Hugh Robinson.

Park Lane. No 182. 1950 & 1955 Henry Robinson
Marion Robinson

also in 1950 at No 182 is Elsie Robinson.

Hope this helps.

Barrie.

astonian, I mentioned in another thread that a fish & chip shop in Potters LANE might have been Robinson, but then I remembered that mid 50s/early 60s it was Ray Collins who had the shop, I don't know whether the Robinsons were there prior to that. I also remember Robbo's (Robinsons)? cafe on the corner of Park Lane and Upper Sutton Street that was there for many years, but I don't know the number.

hi barrie
many thanks for ypur help on tracing robbos family ;
i can now confirm that it was marion ; that my grand father was having a association with and
she was his companion for many years he looked after her as she looked after him;
grand father died in 1969 and i beleive she as also died they was both getting on
my mother was in a disagreement withj him over her and she blamed him for his down fall;
but any way i would like to add more but i think i had not better do so
my oldest sister confirmed to my brother that marion was with him at the hospital on his dying days
and that my mother went to see him only to find marion was at his bed side and my sister went
and verbaly had a go at her
ernest jelfdied in the august i think it was and i beleive she died a year or two after him ;
thanks again barrie for all your precios time you have given me over the years
and for all the hard work you are doing for all of us on this great forum ;
best wishes astonian ; alan ;;
