My great grandmother, Alice Roberts (b1873) and her brother Harry Roberts (b1871) were sent to Canada as British Home Children in 1879. They were born in Birmingham. The only information I have is that Alice was baptised at St. Martin's Church May 9, 1874. Her mother, Ann, is listed as a single woman and living in a workhouse. Does anyone have an Ann Roberts in their information? Her birth was likely between 1850 and 1855.
