My great grandmother, Alice Roberts (b1873) and her brother Harry Roberts (b1871) were sent to Canada as British Home Children in 1879. They were born in Birmingham. The only information I have is that Alice was baptised at St. Martin's Church May 9, 1874. Her mother, Ann, is listed as a single woman and living in a workhouse. Can someone please look up Ann Roberts--her birth was likely between 1850 and 1855. Perhaps she was baptised at St. Martin's Church around that time. I am looking for her parents names. Also, could someone please look up Harry Roberts also as he may have been baptised the same day as Alice.
