Richard Chamberlain

Maria Magenta

master brummie
He died a couple of days ago and the reason I'm mentioning it is that he played Hamlet at the Rep in 1969 and was apparently very good. (I didn't see it and rather wish I had but saw the revival with Alec McCowen).

yes and heart throb of the 1960s when playing in the tv series dr kildare...served in the united states arm reaching rank of sergeant....rip

Was sorry to read a couple of days ago that he had died, my sister had a crush on him back in the day, I had to pass the news on to her, she lives in Germany and hadn't heard the news then.
My nephews name is Richard which could have been influenced by her liking him!

Photo of him in Hamlet at the Rep..
